Schooni's Italian American

My family visited Schooni's for the first time. We tried the pizza, burgers, fries, onion rings, homemade chips and coleslaw. To start, the staff was really friendly and upbeat, which set us up for a really nice lunch vibe. I loved the comfy "mom & pop" atmosphere. Staff: 10/10 The pizza was really good with the crust being really flavorful that paired nicely with the toppings. I personally like a little more sauce but overall good. 8/10. I had the spicy burger and my wife the cheeseburger. They were so good we didn't even get photos. I took one bite and I DEVOURED that thing! Perfectly seasoned angus patty with a lightly toasted bun & fresh toppings... Dude! 10/10 The fries were fresh as were the onion rings and homemade chips. They were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. And they weren't greasy. 10/10 I love coleslaw in just about every style there is. The coleslaw here smells and tastes like garbage juice. It was disgusting. If I were them, I would pull it off the menu. I'm not joking. It sucks. They would be better off taking their coleslaw budget and just donating that money to charity. Coleslaw: 0/10. I still give them 5 stars overall. We all make mistakes. That coleslaw being a big one. lol To the staff at Schooni's, Thank you for a great lunch experience! We really enjoyed it and will most definitely visit again! Well done!

I have been coming here since I moved here five years ago. I want people to know how comforting it is to come here. First Jamie the owner is ,love, caring, hires kids from the high school and guides them. She cares about every dish that is served,ask you did you like it today? She is heartwarming in everything she does and with her crew. She has an amazing staff. Now this is not a franchise, this is a restaurant of family and love. Just tonight got two large pizza and a ton of wings. Was it done right? Yes it was. Jamie and the crew,yall work so hard to please on the dish that goes out to our community. Keep up the good work,and I pray for many more years for you here in Lake Placid . We love yall!!!

We recently had a family pizza night, which is rare. We decided to try Schooni's and they didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was good. We had pizza and the garlic knots, which by the way were the best I have ever had. They came out warm and covered in sauce. Prices were reasonable and the service was good.

When I went to pick up my large meat lover's pizza, the employee behind the counter told me a new one was being made. She explained that the first pizza, while seemingly fine to me, had shrunk slightly during baking and didn't meet her standards. She was a perfectionist and insisted on providing a pizza that was up to their quality control. To my surprise, she gave me the original one for free. I made sure to give a nice tip when I paid for the newly made pizza. This experience truly impressed me and showed me how much the restaurant takes pride in its food. The staff was also incredibly pleasant. Oh and that meat lovers pizza is really, really good- lots of toppings! Only thing that could have made it better is if the crust had a little more flavor- on it own, its kinda bland.

After searching for a restaurant that served breaded cauliflower, we discovered Schooni's. Food was hot and fresh, service great, and we will definitely return to his little gem in downtown Lake Placid.

As a local I can for sure say that Schooni's, not only has some great food, but also has great customer service.
